Where to stay
in Boulogne

Harbour views, Cockpit Club partners, and a cliff-top tent with the Channel below.

SailLink arrives directly at Boulogne Marina. Every address in this guide is chosen for its proximity to the berth, its welcome of cyclists and adventurers, and its connection to what makes Boulogne worth lingering in. Stay the night before your crossing, or arrive and settle in properly. Either way, you are already there.

SailLink's Boulogne Circle

Where we send our passengers.

Three addresses. Two circles. One standard.

Our Circle

"We are transparent about who is in the Cockpit Club and who is a Friend because both matter, in different ways."

The Cockpit Club is SailLink's formal circle of Boulogne partners. Hotels and venues that joined officially for the season, whose standards match what we offer on board. They make the journey feel continuous from pontoon to pillow.

Friends of SailLink are addresses that stood with us in other ways. They backed the project before the first commercial crossing, gave us visibility on their own platforms, or simply welcomed our passengers warmly when SailLink was still finding its feet. They are not in the Cockpit Club. They are in something older: our story.

All share the same quality bar. They are places we would book ourselves. Tell them you arrived by sail.

"We arrived under sail at lunchtime, dropped our bags at the hotel three minutes from the pontoon, and were eating mussels by the harbour an hour later. The crossing did not feel like a transfer. It felt like the start of the holiday."

Practical info

Three things worth knowing before you book.

Arrival

From pontoon to pillow

SailLink arrives on the Promenade du Quai Gambetta, the heart of Boulogne Marina. Monsieur Georges is 3 minutes on foot, Evancy 5 minutes, La Matelote 7 minutes along the seafront. No taxi, no shuttle. You step off the boat and walk into the city.

Cyclists welcome

Bikes, panniers & kit

All Cockpit Club partners and Friends in this guide know SailLink and welcome cyclists with bikes and panniers. Mention your SailLink crossing at booking for advice on secure storage, drying rooms, and breakfast timing if you have an early start on the Vélomaritime.

Timing

When to book early

Book in advance for Saturday nights and any night before the Wednesday or Saturday market. Stay at Monsieur Georges, wake up 50 metres from the fish stalls, walk back for lunch.
